Growing up in Michigan, Sally Stout explored the fields and woods of her family’s farm and spent a great deal of time in the forests of Middle Earth and Narnia. She has taught English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga and in high school and college classrooms. She is an avid backpacker and has logged many miles on the Appalachian and other trails. She and her husband write, weave and bird watch in northwest lower Michigan. She is the author of The Changeful Map and The Unchanging Island, Books One and Two of the Healing Winds Trilogy. She is hard at work on Book Three.
